Inspired by the restless movement of a fast-flowing river, the Reed Ring captures the moment when rushing currents twist, fold, and turn over one another.

Rather than recreating water as a still surface, we wanted to capture its movement—the turbulence, swirling currents, and constantly changing forms created as water rushes downstream.

In Rapid Blue, layers of vivid blue, deep navy, smoky tones, and clear glass flow into one another. The colors twist through the sculptural surface like different currents colliding in a river, while the transparency of the glass creates changing depths and reflections as the ring moves through the light.

Each Reed Ring is entirely handmade in our studio without the use of molds. While the glass is molten, every curve, fold, and flowing detail is individually shaped by hand, allowing the material to develop its own spontaneous movement.

No two Reed Rings are exactly alike. Each piece captures a different fleeting moment of nature—frozen permanently in glass.
